Using mui with family

Besides the user that set up the mui board (hereinafter referred to as the owner), other members can use the mobile application to send messages to the board and register events.

This section will introduce how to use the mui board with your family.

This section will introduce the different types of accounts on the mui mobile application and what you can do with each type of account.
The mui mobile application has the following two types of accounts.

• Administrative user (Owner)
• Family user

Making a mui account

Next is the introduction to the differences between the two types of accounts.

Administrative user (Owner)

The owner will have access to all the functions of the mui mobile application.
Specifically, the owner will have access to the following.

• Communication between the mui mobile application and the mui board
• The mui board settings
• Connecting third-party services to the mui board
• Inviting and managing family users that can access the mui board
• Adding a new mui board
• Factory resetting the mui board

Family user

The family users will be able to use some of the functions of the mui mobile application.
Specifically, family users will be able to do the following.

• Communication between the mui mobile application and the mui board

In order to use the mui mobile application as a family user, you need to invite the family user as explained in the following section.

Inviting family users

Through the mobile application, family can be invited and added as a family user by the owner.

The directions on how to invite a family as a family user is below.

1. The owner will send an invitation URL to those who want to become a family user.
2. The invited user will access the URL and complete user registration and send an access request to the owner
3. The owner can see access requests sent by invitees and can approve/disapprove their request
4. If the user is approved in step 3, the invited user will become a family member
